This is a call…
A call to rethink how we view relationships in the church today.
The Relationship Status is an invitation to see the value of relationships beyond social identities such as ‘single’ and ‘married’ only. There is a bigger picture, a broader story and a long-term love that goes beyond our imagination. Whatever your status, God calls us all to nurture meaningful relationships. The kingdom is doing life together in loving and inclusive ways as we gain God’s perspective in our lives.
In God’s kingdom nobody is alone.
It’s time for a fresh look at what it means to live the gospel within the beauty of relationships. If you are ready to think outside the box and grow in your understanding of the Kingdom – this book is for you.

“Leaves readers with a sense of dignity and empowerment to walk securely in their God-given identity”
The good news of the gospel calls us into a life of relationship, firstly with God and then with others.
Our true identity is that we are loved and our calling is to love others. It is the truth that teaches us to love. This is the gospel.
So what does it look like to be loved? Is it getting Valentines Day flowers? Thousands of likes on instagram? Or writing ‘taken’ on your social media profile? How do we measure love? What proof do we need to feel good about ourselves?
It’s easy to wonder where you fit within the social framework of the church when it seems like everyone else is ‘paired up.’ If we have a church culture that divides the community into ‘single’ or ‘married’ with the emphasis that the ‘singles’ need to get ‘married’ – we risk creating an idol. If we make marriage an idol – we will not build true community or healthy marriages.
I was never going to write a book like this. Then one day, I realised I had been writing this book my entire life. What began in conversations with friends (and sometimes random strangers) continued to stir my spirit until it poured out across the pages of several journals. It has been read and re-read by a group of people I admire and developed into the book it has become today.
I hope it inspires you to love.
